The water lot, on the eastern boundary of the Davis Tannery site, located within the Cataraqui River, is proposed to be a boathouse for the Kingston Rowing Club (KRC). The KRC is a non-for-profit organization that aims to promote and develop rowing at all levels in Kingston and the surrounding area, focusing on excellence in recreation, competition and coaching, and fostering community involvement in the sport. It is anticipated that the structure would be used to store boats and accommodate convenience facilities for the KRC, including changing facilities, washrooms, equipment storage, etc.
